What did you learn this week?

This week, I learned about reinforced concrete floors, and why cutting them to lay data and power cables could be a Very Bad Thing. That's because the "rebars" are quite important.

I also learned about the acoustic absorbtion properties of different types of carpet.

Neither of those subjects were taught on my Computer Science degree, but have turned out to be important.
